Search Light Inc. is a not-for-profit community organisation and a registered Queensland charity, dedicated to improving educational outcomes for children and young people. We believe that every child deserves the right to a quality early education that is accessible, inclusive, and tailored to their individual needs.
Our commitment goes beyond providing learning opportunities—we actively work to remove barriers to education, ensuring that all children and young families, regardless of their circumstances, can access the support and resources they need to thrive.
We operate the Search Light Early Learning Centre, co-located at a special assistance school in Brisbane, providing early education and family support services to young parents.
By combining low-cost childcare with trauma-informed support, we aim to improve developmental outcomes for children and empower young parents to create positive futures for themselves and their children.
what do we offer?
Affordable childcare
Our service is funded by the Community Child Care Fund-Restricted (CCCFR) federal grant program, allowing us to keep our fees affordable while providing additional support services.
Fees start from as low as $14.54/day for young parents engaged in full-time study.
Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is available to further reduce out-of-pocket costs for eligible families.

Transport
